CHRISTIAN WOLPERT GAZTAMBIDE

Christian Wolpert Gaztambide, a rising sophomore in Jonathan Edwards College, is thrilled to serve as Director General of Committees for this fortieth installation of SCSY. A prospective Global Affairs major, Chirstian has been dedicated to Model United Nations since his youth days in Puerto Rico. He served as a Vice-Chair for the Game of Thrones Committee of SCSY XIL and Assistant Secretary General of Specialized Committees for YMUN XLIII. Outside of YIRA, Christian is involved with the Yale Political Union and the Boy Scouts of America. DAVID H. JIANG

David H. Jiang, born in the Gobi Desert, grew up in Japan, and currently residing in Minnesota, is a rising sophomore studying Political Science and Economics. He has been involved with Model United Nations since high school and has served as President of the Security Council at the Minnesota Model UN conferences held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. DIRECTOR GENERAL OF OPERATIONS: 

MICHAEL BORGER

A rising sophomore in Silliman College, Michael is excited to serve as Director General of Operations. He is a prospective Global Affairs and History double major at Yale. Having split his life between a small, suburban town in New Jersey and the bustling Brazilian metropolis of São Paulo, he knows how to get a proper night’s rest on red-eyes. Highlights of his YIRA career include serving as Undersecretary General of Regional Bodies for YMUN, Undersecretary General of Conference for IRSY, and Undersecretary General for YMUN-China; teaching international relations in Hemispheres; and working as YIRA Secretary on the Executive Board. Aside from YIRA, Michael is the International Outreach Coordinator for the Yale Undergraduate Legal Aid Association, the Events Chair for the Brazil Club of Yale, and an Associate Editor for the Globalist Magazine. UNDERSECRETARY GENERAL OF COMMITTEES:

MURIEL WANG

Muriel Wang is one of four Under Secretaries-General of Committees for SCSY XL. She is a rising sophomore in Trumbull College from Singapore and Boston. Within the Yale International Relations Association, she serves as the Director General of Operations at YMUN XLIV and is the USG of Committees for YMUN China. She is also involved with the Yale Children's Theatre, Elm City Echo, and the Yale Student Film Festival. In her free time, she enjoys sit-coms, creative writing, and exploring new restaurants.

MIN BYUNG CHAE

Min Byung Chae is a freshman in Jonathan Edwards College at Yale University. A prospective Global Affairs or Economics major, he will serve as one of the Under Secretaries-General of Committees for SCSY XL. Aside from SCSY, Min Byung has served in the Secretariats of Yale MUN Korea 2017 in Seoul, South Korea, YMUN XLIII in New Haven, and IRSY 2017. At Yale, he volunteers as an English tutor for New Haven residents through Bridges ESL programme, serves as the Communications Chair for Hanppuri (Korean international students' association), and works as an intramural soccer referee. Min Byung hopes that SCSY could provide participants with a rewarding and enriching educational experience.

CATHERINE FALLS

Catherine Falls is a sophomore at Yale and is majoring in Global Affairs and Ethics, Politics, & Economics. Outside of SCSY, she is on the board of the Roosevelt Institute, works for the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale, and has chaired for the YMUN conference. Originally from Nashville, she is interested in the Middle East and history and can be found traveling, exploring New Haven's restaurants, or reading in the library.

AMAN KABEER

Hailing from Gainesville, Florida, Aman Kabeer is a Junior in Morse College double-majoring in Economics and Astrophysics. Aman has been involved in SCSY for the past three years as a Vice-Chair, Committee Director, and now as USG of Committees. Outside of SCSY, Aman serves as the Executive Director of the Yale Model United Nations Institute, and as the Treasurer of the Yale International Relations Association as a whole. He is the Founder and President of the non-profit organization KITAB Inc., which is dedicated to improving literacy in the underserved communities of Gainesville, FL and now New Haven, CT, and recently established a chapter of the organization with Dwight Hall on Yale’s campus. Aman is a brother of the Chi Psi Fraternity, and is also an avid sports fan--most notably rooting for his hometown team the Florida Gators. 

UNDERSECRETARY GENERAL OF SPONSORSHIP: TYLER BLOCH Originally from Long Island, Tyler Bloch is a Freshman in Branford College, and plans on double majoring in Global Affairs and Environmental Studies. As SCSY XL’s Undersecretary General of Partnerships, he hopes to secure internationally sourced sponsorships and partner with some of the U.S.’s leading international institutions. Outside of SCSY, Tyler is a member of Yale’s Club Triathlon Team and a newly inducted member of Yale WYBCx Radio. He also serves on the Branford Housing Committee, and enjoys practicing his languages at the Tandem Language Cafe. In his free time, you can find him at spin classes, in the kitchen, or at any social event where many languages are spoken.

Outside of SCSY, Tyler is a member of Yale’s Club Triathlon Team and a newly inducted member of Yale WYBCx Radio. HANAH LEE

Hanah Lee is the Under-Secretary General of Business and Conference for SCSY XL. Hailing from sunny Arcadia, California, Hanah is a rising sophomore in Silliman College who is a prospective Global Affairs or economics major. Outside of working with YIRA and its constituent conferences, Hanah is also involved with Yale Rotaract, Korean American Students at Yale, Asian American Students Alliance, Yale Undergraduate Diversified Investments, and Design at Yale. In her spare time, you can usually catch her binge watching rom-coms or napping!
